A Shopify e-commerce store built for the Dubai retail market — a separate product-focused operation requiring its own dedicated storefront.
Alongside ZIB International, Zohaib Imran operates Unicasa — a separate e-commerce business requiring a dedicated Shopify storefront for the Dubai consumer market. The two businesses are entirely distinct in nature: ZIB International is an EdTech platform; Unicasa is a product retail operation. Each needed its own platform, design, and content strategy appropriate to its commercial context.
Shopify was selected for Unicasa based on its operational fit for product-based retail at the Dubai market scale — providing a robust, scalable storefront infrastructure without the overhead of a custom WooCommerce build.
What Was Built
A clean, conversion-focused Shopify storefront with product catalogue, category structure, cart and checkout flows, and a homepage designed to establish brand credibility and drive first-purchase confidence. The store was built to match UAE consumer expectations for a polished retail experience — mobile-first, fast-loading, and visually aligned with the standards Dubai online shoppers compare against established regional e-commerce platforms.
Key Challenges Solved
Maintaining complete brand separation between Unicasa and ZIB International — for the same client, on different platforms — required treating each as a wholly independent project with no shared visual or content language. Dubai e-commerce consumers are experienced online shoppers with high expectations; the Shopify theme and store configuration were built to match regional premium retail standards rather than defaulting to out-of-the-box Shopify aesthetics. Platform selection itself was a deliberate choice — Shopify’s native checkout performance and scalability made it more appropriate for Unicasa’s retail model than replicating the WooCommerce infrastructure used elsewhere.
