Sheikh Rasheed needed a premium rental e-commerce platform for ZRA97, a Dubai-based service letting customers rent luxury handbags from top-tier brands including Chanel, Hermès, and Prada. Rather than buying, customers browse available bags and book them for a 3-day, weekly, or monthly rental period — making luxury fashion accessible without the ownership price tag.
The platform was built on WordPress with WooCommerce and a calendar-based booking system, presenting the rental inventory in a way that matches the luxury aesthetic of the brands being offered — because the site experience itself needs to feel premium.
What Was Built
A rental-focused WooCommerce store with calendar booking integration supporting 3-day, weekly, and monthly rental configurations. Bag listing pages presenting brand, condition, and availability. A Become a Lender section allowing bag owners to list their own pieces on the platform. User login and account management for returning renters, and a blog section to support brand building and organic discovery.
Key Challenges Solved
WooCommerce is built for standard retail — adapting it for a rental model required custom booking logic with availability calendar integration and multiple rental duration pricing tiers. The site also functions as a two-sided marketplace, requiring separate flows for customers renting bags and lenders listing their bags — both needing clear, friction-free onboarding. Presenting luxury goods in a digital context demands pixel-level design care; a mismatched or generic design would immediately undermine the premium positioning of the brands being rented.
